Hi friends,
In our system, the background job is failing, not giving much information. The only information i found in the background job message is "Job also cancelled due to process termination. See the system log"
When i checked the system log i could see that in the problem class SAP Web AS Problem and i don't see any more information except job failed.
Can some one help in regard the issue .

Our auditors would like SIDadm and oraSID to have the same rules for passwords that the rest of the company does. Required password complexity, no password reuse, required password change every 180 days, and lock out after 3 failed attempts.
I am OK with the first two but I think the last two might cause some problems ESPECIALLY the lock out one.
I can find docs on SCN related to database security (we run Oracle) but can't seem to locate the same for the OS.
We are currently on HP-UX 11.31 and AIX 7.1. The HP-UX systems are not trusted systems. There is an in place with AIX systems integration with Microsoft AD but since the SIDadm and oraSID users don't have an AD account they are managed by 'local' rules.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

We are running 5 SAP ECC 6.0 systems on Solaris 10 with the project definitions configured as mentioned in note 724713.
Now after the fifth system was installed, we have problems to start all of the systems.
The error can occur for either of the systems and in dev_disp it would say:
ERROR => e=28 semget(20038,1,2047) (28: No space left on device) [semux.c 928]
ERROR => CCMS: SemInit failed [alxxappl.c 610]
ERROR => CCMS: sAlInit: could not create/attach shared memory key 13 (rtc = 255) [alxx.c 1187]
Before the fifth system was installed, we didn't experience any problems.
Do we have to change the project definitions and if yes how?
We have defined 5 projects (each system) with the following values for each project:
SD2:200:SAP System SD2:orasd2,sd2adm::process.max-sem-nsems=(priv,2048,deny);project.max-sem-ids=(priv,1024,deny);project.max-shm-ids=(priv,256,deny);project.max-shm-memory=(priv,18446744073709551615,deny)

we have issue in our SAP production system, one user which is using huge amount of main and Priv. memory; is not getting cleared; i checked SM50 and also with user as well, but nothing is happening in SM50 and user is also log out, but session is not getting cleared,
also whenever i am trying to kill the session system is generating core dump in os level; which further causing file system full issue,
Do any one has idea?. how to kill the session?; closest note i am able to find out is 350167;but note is not giving any solution

I have done upgarde Ecc6.0 to Ecc with Ehp7 in my Quality Server , Then for some activity
,
I was done downgrade ehp7 to ehp6 as given process.
1. First Restore Full offline backup of Ehp6
2. Second Restore Old Kernal i.e 720
3. Third Restore Old SAP Profile Directory .
I have already taken Full Offline backup of Ehp7 .
Now I have done restore of Full Offline backup of Ehp7 in same server.
Then I Restore Ehp7 Kernal i.e 740
Then Restore Ehp7 SAP Profile .
Now When I am starting Listner and Oracle , Its starting successfully.
But when I am starting SAP Instance ,Its given below error.

I am currently importing a system export and sapinst didn't give me the option to choose the allocation of R3load jobs to do the import with. Currently, there are only 3 R3load processes running at this time. I have 8CPU on this system and it's not even phasing it with this load. I'd like to be able to dynamically (as in i don't want to restart sapinst) switch this to now use 8 processes (maybe even as high as 12). How would I go about doing this without impacting the jobs that are currently running?

I have stopped sap and trying to start sap, couldn't start sap, i am getting the below error message, can anyone help please.
This is on unix HP/ oracle.

Database <SID> must be started on remote server
Log on to remote server and start database
I have even tried stopping the listener and starting the listener and also at the SQL plus i have shutdown the database and started up.
But still i am not able to start sap

System Time Zone:INDIA
User's Default Time Zone :INDIA
we are using SAP ECC6.0 on cluster mode (ci & db) different node.Operation system is HP Unix ia64 and Oracle 11g
When I check my Laptop and SAP Application server time difference is 10 Minutes.

Before I updated the kernel manually with the newer version 7.42 because SUM let me do so.
I checked already the new versions of R3trans and tp. They are both the same:

We recently upgrade from 620 to ECC 6 with Hanna Database. We begin having problems with updating Vendors or Customers using IDOC message DEBMAS OR CREMAS. The IDOC completes without error. We have seen where the tax jurisdiction was populated before the update but are blank afterword. When changing manually using XK02 or XD02 the field populate correctly. When I run function module RFC_DETERMINE_JURISDICTION values are returned. We have check over 20 IDOCs and only 1 was populated correctly. If the selection criteria are not correct the IDOC would fail. Has anyone experience Taxware returning a blank jurisdiction code? Does the update wait for the return value for Taxware? Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
